Delaware Blue Coats News Release

PORTLAND, ME - The Delaware Blue Coats (16-23), the NBA G League affiliate of the Philadelphia 76ers, fell to the Maine Red Claws (17-23), 124-102, on the road on Friday night. With four more three-pointers in the contest, Delaware's Jared Brownridge now leads the NBA G League in three-point field goals made this season (141).

Kyle Randall led the Blue Coats in scoring with a career-high 18 points (5-12 fg, 1-1 3fg, 7-10 ft) in 29 minutes off the bench. Keenan Evans posted his season high for points in a Blue Coats uniform with 17 points (6-12 fg, 1-4 3fg, 4-4 ft) in 29 minutes, while Brownridge finished with 15 points (5-14 fg, 4-12 3fg, 1-1 ft) in 28 minutes of action. Brownridge surpassed Miami HEAT two-way contract player Duncan Robinson for the current three-point crown with his second triple of the first quarter.

In his first career G League game, 76ers assignment player Zhaire Smith posted two points (1-4 fg, 0-1 3fg), three rebounds and two assists in 15 minutes for the Blue Coats.

Maine went on an 18-2 run in the first quarter and a 16-4 run to open the second quarter. The Blue Coats trailed 68-57 at halftime.

"It's a lot of things that go into it," said head coach Connor Johnson. "But what can we control as a team? We can control how we execute offensively and we can control what sort of toughness and tenacity we have on defense. And we didn't really have much toughness and tenacity on defense tonight."

Andrew White III scored 18 of his game-high 22 points (8-12 fg, 4-6 3fg, 2-2 ft) for Maine in the first half. Boston Celtics two-way contract players PJ Dozier (18 points) and RJ Hunter (17 points) were two more of the seven Red Claws to reach double figures.

The Blue Coats return home to 76ers Fieldhouse on Monday for a 7:00 p.m. meeting with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.
