WHICH PLAYERS ARE ELIGIBLE TO GET DRAFTED?
(via NBA G League)
Every fall, 100+ players are signed by the league office and placed in the NBA G League Draft pool, including NBA and NBA G League vets, international pros and prospects, undrafted rookies and NBA G League National Tryout players. Players must be 18 years old to be eligible for the NBA G League Draft, as opposed to the NBA's age minimum of 19.
Players are eligible to be selected in the 2018 NBA G League Draft if they signed a contract with the NBA G League by Oct. 15 (for players who weren't in NBA training camps) or Oct. 18 (for players who were in NBA training camps) and their rights are not held by an NBA G League team. Players who participated in NBA Training Camp and were designated as affiliate players are not draft-eligible. They are allocated directly to the NBA team's NBA G League affiliate.
Many of the top picks arrive days before the draft after either arriving from overseas or being waived by NBA teams.
