NAZ Suns Complete Trade with Memphis for Returning Rights to Shaquille Thomas, Kuran Iverson and Sixth Overall Pick in Draft

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Northern Arizona Suns announced today they have completed a trade with the Memphis Hustle involving four players and a draft pick.

The Suns acquired the returning player rights to Shaquille Thomas and Kuran Iverson, along with the sixth overall pick in the 2018 NBA G League draft in exchange for the returning player rights to Shaquille Harrison and Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson. With the added pick, the Suns now have four selections in Saturday's Draft; two in the first round (Nos. 6 and 16) and two in the second round (Nos. 36 and 51 overall).

Thomas (6-7, 180 pounds) has played two years in the NBA G League. Last year with the Hustle, the forward averaged 6.6 points on 47.1 percent shooting and 3.5 rebounds in 16.6 minutes per game. He appeared in 37 games. Combined with his rookie campaign in 2016-17 with the Austin Spurs, Thomas has NBA G League career averages of 5.9 points on 47.4 percent shooting and 3.2 rebounds per game (42 games).

Thomas, 26, played four years collegiately at the University of Cincinnati after redshirting his freshman year. He left tied for 11th in school history in games played (129), averaging 5.6 points on 44.6 percent shooting and 2.9 rebounds per game. The Paterson, New Jersey, native has also played professionally for the Gimnasia Indalo in Argentina.

Iverson (6-9, 215 pounds) played for both the Hustle and Raptors 905 last season, his first year in the NBA G League. Overall he averaged 3.3 points and 2.1 rebounds in 11.3 minutes per game (35 games). The forward is a Hartford, Connecticut, native, who joined the Manawatu Jets in the New Zealand National Basketball League in May.

Iverson, 25, went to the University of Memphis for two years before transferring to the University of Rhode Island, where he also played two years. Over his last two years for the Rams, he averaged 9.7 points on 47.6 percent shooting, 7.2 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 26.5 minutes per game. He played in 63 games for Rhode Island, earning 60 starts.

Harrison played for the NAZ Suns the past two years. Last season, he averaged 11.0 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.9 steals per game before earning a GATORADE Call-Up to the Phoenix Suns in February. Over his two years with the NAZ Suns, Harrison averaged 10.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.6 steals in 84 games (24 starts).

Hollis-Jefferson was selected with the sixth overall pick by the NAZ Suns in the 2017 NBA G League Draft. He played in 48 games last year, averaging 9.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.1 blocks per game.
