Harrisburg Senators News Release

Trenton, NJ - Justin Bloxom had four hits and a run batted in, but the Harrisburg Senators fell behind early and their late rally came up short, as the Trenton Thunder took game two of the series 4-3 at ARM & HAMMER Park.

Gary Sanchez put the Thunder on the board in the first inning with an RBI single. Trenton added another in the third on Carmen Angelini's run-scoring single.

The Thunder doubled their lead with two solo home runs in the fourth inning from Cody Grice and Jose Pirela.

Harrisburg rallied in the sixth, as Sean Nicol and Justin Bloxom led off with back-to-back singles. A pair of two-out RBI base hits from Carlos Rivero and Jason Martinson cut Trenton's lead in half.

The Senators made a late charge in the ninth inning. Down to their final out, Billy Burns and Sean Nicol drew walks, before Bloxom brought in Burns with an RBI double. However, Ricky Hague struck out with two men in scoring position to end the game.

Neil Holland tossed two perfect innings out of the Senators bullpen and struck out two. Matt Grace also threw a shutout frame in relief.

Tomorrow, the Senators conclude their three-game series in Trenton against the Thunder. Game time is 7:05 p.m. and the game can be heard on 1460am The Ticket, on the Internet through the Senators website, and it's available through iHeart Radio beginning with the pregame show at 6:50 p.m.
