Blazers take over top spot in Coaches Poll

Oklahoma City, Okla. - The Oklahoma City Blazers moved up one spot and are now ranked #1 in the latest Central Hockey League coaches' poll, the Blazers front office announced today.

The Blazers moved past the Youngstown Steelhounds to take over the top spot. Oklahoma City garnered eight first place votes. The complete poll is listed below:

The Blazers 5-1-1 start is their best since the 2001-02 season. They take on their rival, the #4 ranked Wichita Thunder Friday night at the Ford Center at 7:35 p.m.

The Blazers will celebrate Veteran's Day by honoring all the men and women of the Armed Forces, active duty and non-active duty, by wearing special camoflouge jerseys that will be available for bids in a live auction following the game. All proceeds will benefit the Oklahoma Army National Guard.
