Blazers Support the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation
October 21, 2010 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Kamloops Blazers News Release
The Kamloops Blazers Hockey Club is proud to team up with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation once again this year to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.
As part of the 2010 Kamloops Blazers Pink Power Play Night, the Blazers began auctioning off specially designed Bauer Vapor x60 Stick'um Composite Hockey Sticks. These are high quality playing sticks which retail for almost $300 and have been specially designed to commemorate the 2010 Breast Cancer Awareness initiative. All proceeds raised will benefit the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
The 2010 Pink Power Play Sticks are on display at the east end of the concourse of Interior Savings Centre.
Bid sheets are displayed at all Blazers home games through the month of October. Bids can be placed online by emailing your bid to aneuls@blazerhockey.com or calling Ashley at 250-828-1144.
Updated bids can be found on the Blazers' website or the Blazers' Facebook Page.
Bidding closes at the puck drop of the second period on Saturday, October 30th when the Blazers host the Seattle Thunderbirds.
Each player has a stick to bid on and it is the buyer's choice to have that stick signed by the player or not. The sticks will be awarded to the winning bidders who are in attendance following the game on October 30th.
Buyers who can not pick up their sticks from Interior Savings Centre will need to make arrangements with the Kamloops Blazers Hockey Club to have their stick shipped, or otherwise. The Kamloops Blazers Hockey Club is NOT responsible for any costs that may be incurred in order for the buyer to receive their stick.
Starting bids are $150.00 due to the high retail value of the sticks and the intent of raising as much money as possible.
The Kamloops Blazers thank you for your support!
