Blazers Select 12 Players in 2022 WHL Prospects Draft

Kamloops, BC - The Kamloops Blazers selected 12 players in the WHL Prospects Draft including seven forwards, four defensemen and a goaltender.

The Blazers traded up to select forward Nathan Behm in the 1st round, 13th overall. The Blazers traded their 19th overall selection along with a 3rd and 6th round pick to select Behm.

Two players were selected by the Blazers in the third round as they chose forwards Jack Bakker and Andrew Thomson. Bakker is from Surrey, BC and Thomson is from Sherwood Park, AB

In the fourth round, the Blazers selected their first defenseman as they went to Burnaby, BC to grab Isa Guram from the Delta Hockey Academy.

In the fifth round, the hockey club selected Zach Pantelakis from North Vancouver, BC and in the seventh round the Blazers chose Teigan Semchyshen from Warman, SK

With two picks in the 8th round, the Blazers selected goaltender Logan Edmonstone and forward Tommy Lafreniere.

The Blazers chose four players in rounds nine through twelve as they selected defenseman Nicholas Morin in the ninth round, defenseman Tyson Moss in the 10th round, forward Hunter Yanick in the 11th round and forward Evan Cook in the 12th round.

3rd round, 57th overall

Forward - Jack Bakker

DOB - May 31, 2007

Hometown - Surrey, BC

Team - BWC Academy U15 Prep

"We are very excited to be able to select Jack with the 57th overall pick. He is a player that has high end skill and can score goals. Elite skater and is a threat off the rush with the puck." - BC Scout Scott Blakeney.

3rd round, 63rd overall

Forward - Andrew Thomson

Defense - Isa Guram
