Pats Acquire Goaltender Koen MacInnes from Everett

Regina, Sask. - The Regina Pats Hockey Club announced Thursday that they have acquired 2002-born goaltender Koen MacInnes from the Everett Silvertips in exchange for a sixth round pick in 2022 (130th overall) and a conditional seventh round pick in 2024.

MacInnes, 20, spent this past season with the Silvertips, going 21-7-5 with a 2.60 goals-against average and a .909 save percentage and four shutouts. The Burnaby, B.C. native played two previous seasons with the Saskatoon Blades from 2019-2021, going 18-7-2 in 31 games, with a 2.78 G.A.A and .904 SV% and three shutouts.

The 6-foot-2, 196 lb. netminder was ranked 22nd among North American goaltenders ahead of the 2020 NHL Draft and 31st among North American goaltenders (eighth among those in the WHL) ahead of the 2021 NHL Draft. The former Blades second-round pick in 2017 (35th overall) suited up for Team B.C. at the 2017-18 WHL Cup, where he posted a 0.96 G.A.A and a .952 SV%.

He holds a career 39-14-4-3 WHL record over 68 appearances, along with a 2.68 G.A.A, .907 SV% and seven shutouts.
