HOME-AND-HOME PART ONE - Oklahoma City and Wichita squared off in a home-and-home series over the weekend. Round one in Wichita saw the Thunder score four goals in 3:33 of the second period. The Blazers slowly chipped away at the 4-0 lead, scoring five unanswered goals. A late goal by Thunder defenseman Vladimir Hartinger tied the game at five. In overtime, Jared Dumba recorded his second goal of the game to give the Blazers a 6-5 victory. The Blazers posted a season high 57 shots on goal, including 44 in the last two periods in the win. Peter Robertson and Blair Manning each had three points (1-2-3) to pace Oklahoma City. Blazers goaltender Aren Miller stopped 27 of 32 shots for his third straight win for the Blazers.

JASMIN ROY JOINS TRENT SCHACHLE IN BLAZERS HISTORY - Winger Jasmin Roy and former Blazers forward/defenseman Trent Schachle now have something in common. Each contributed to the Blazers penalty minute total in the 11-year history of the club. Each also contributed the penalty minute that pushed the Blazers over the top of a large milestone. Schachle's two-minute roughing penalty against the Fayetteville Force on December 13, 1997 was the Blazers 10,000th penalty minute in franchise history. On November 19, 2002, Roy's five-minute fighting major pushed the Blazers over the 20,000 penalty minute mark in franchise history. Entering tonight's game with Wichita, the Blazers have 20,018 penalty minutes in franchise history.

BLAZERS TIE FRANCHISE MARK - The Blazers victory on November 22 in Wichita ran its stretch of victories on the road at the Kansas Coliseum to eight. That ties the Blazers record for longest stretch of victories on the road against one team. Oklahoma City won its last eight games in the Landon Arena against the Topeka ScareCrows before the franchise's demise after the 2000-01 season. Oklahoma City also won its final seven games in Fort Worth against the now defunct Fort Worth Fire. The Blazers eight-game win streak in Wichita follows on the heels of a seven-game losing streak in the Kansas Coliseum to the Thunder. The Blazers lost seven straight from March 26, 1999 to November 4, 2000. Since that loss on November 4, Oklahoma City has won 12 of its last 13 in Wichita, including eight straight.

LOTS OF POWER-PLAY CHANCES FOR THE BLAZERS - In the Blazers 6-5 victory over the Wichita Thunder on November 22, the Blazers had 14 power-play chances, including six in the third period. The 14 power-play opportunities is a season high and one away from the franchise record of 15. The Blazers had 15 power-play chances on November 15, 1995 against the Memphis RiverKings. The team scored on seven of the 15 chances. The last time the Blazers had 14 power-play opportunities was November 2, 1995 against the Tulsa Oilers. Coincidentally, the Blazers were also 3-for-14 that night.

BLAZERS POST SIX STRAIGHT WINS AT HOME - Since beginning the season 0-2-0 at home, the Blazers have posted six straight wins at the Ford Center. The last time the Blazers had a six-game winning streak at home was during the 2000-01 campaign when the Blazers posted eight straight home wins to start the season.

MANNING TOPS THE LEAGUE IN APPLES - Blazers centerman Blair Manning currently leads the Blazers with 23 points (4-19-23), is 10th in the league in scoring and his 19 assists currently leads the circuit.

SEASON HIGH IN SHOTS - the Oklahoma City Blazers fired a season high 57 shots on goal last night against the Thunder, including 20 in the second period and 22 in the third. The 57 shots on goal is the highest shot total by the Blazers since a 53-shot effort against the Border City Bandits on December 22, 2000.
