
Blake Tekotte Promoted To San Diego

San Antonio - Missions outfielder Blake Tekotte has been promoted to the San Diego Padres and joined the team today in San Diego for their game against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Tekotte hit .299 (99-for-331) with 25 doubles, two triples, 17 home runs, 55 RBI and 64 runs scored in 86 games. He was second in the Texas League in stolen bases (31) and fourth in walks (55).
The 24-year old native of Columbia, MO will be making his second trip to San Diego. He was initially called up on May 23 and appeared in 10 games for the Padres and hit .158 (3-for-19) with one double, a triple, an RBI and one run scored.
