Blades Make Changes to Roster

ESTERO, FL- Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Greg Poss announced today that forward Drew Larman has signed a contract with the club and that forward Nick Tarnasky has been recalled to the American Hockey League.

Larman returns to the Everblades where he began his professional career in 2005-06. Since then the 25-year-old has see 26 games of action in the National Hockey League with the Florida Panthers and Boston Bruins. Last season Larman skated in four games with the Bruins as well as seeing action in 55 games with the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League.

Prior to that, the Canton, Michigan native was under contract with the Panthers. In 2008-09 Larman spent the entire season with the Rochester Americans of the AHL picking up 23 points (10g, 13a) in 61 games. During the 2007-08 campaign Larman saw action in six NHL games with the Panthers, picking up one assist.

The 6-foot-3, 195 pound centerman made his NHL debut in 2006-07 with Florida, skating in 16 games with the Panthers where he tallied two goals. As a rookie in '05-'06 Larman played six regular season games with the Everblades before being called up to the Americans for the remainder of the regular season where he notched 15 points (7g, 8a) in 44 contests. Larman returned to the Everblades for the post-season and recorded six points (4g, 2a) in eight Kelly Cup Playoff games.

Tarnasky Recalled

Tarnasky, 25, was recalled to the AHL by the Springfield Falcons where he began his professional career in 2004-05. The Rocky Mountain House, Alberta native appeared in three games with the Everblades, all last week at South Carolina, and had one goal and two assists.

Changes to IR

The Everblades also announced today that forward Ross Carlson has been activated from the injured reserve list and is expected to see his first action of the season this weekend at Greenville. The 28-year-old is in his third season with the Everblades and is coming off a season during which he led the Everblades in scoring with 53 points (28g, 25a) in 62 games last year.

Overall in his professional career, the Duluth, Minnesota native has 134 points (63g, 71a) in 189 games from 2007-10.

Additionally, the Everblades announced today that rookie forward Mike Kennedy has been placed on the IR. Kennedy has five points (1g, 4a) in 11 games with the Everblades this season.
