Salmon Kings' Laing Loaned to Heat

Victoria, BC - The Victoria Salmon Kings, proud affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks and Manitoba Moose, announced today that forward Quintin Laing has been loaned to the Abbotsford Heat of the American Hockey League (AHL).

The Harris, SK native joins the Heat after participating in four games with the Salmon Kings this season recording one assist and no penalty minutes.

The 31-year-old is a veteran of 509 career AHL contests between the Hershey Bears and Norfolk Admirals, amassing 205 points (73g-132a) in that stretch along with 366 minutes in penalties. Laing has also appeared in 79 career National Hockey League (NHL) games, with playing time between the Washington Capitals and Chicago Blackhawks. For his NHL career he has netted three goals and eight assists for 11 points while serving 31 penalty minutes.

The Salmon Kings open up a seven game road trip tonight against the Wranglers in a three-games in three nights series in Las Vegas. Game time is 7:05 pm for all three games.
