GREENVILLE, S.C. - Sean Black threw 7.0 scoreless innings, and the RiverDogs offense came to life with a four-run sixth, as Charleston shutout the Greenville Drive, 5-0, in South Atlantic League action at Fluor Field Wednesday evening.

The RiverDogs pen their fifth shutout of the season and broke a three-game skid in improving to 20-27, while Greenville sees its two-game win streak cease in dropping to 23-24.

Black (4-3), a former Seton Hall standout, permitted just three base hits in his best start as a RiverDog. The Mt. Laurel, N.J. native did not walk a batter while sinking a season-high five and retiring the last nine men he faced.

With a 0-0 score in the sixth, Charleston scored four times on six base hits against Greenville's Anatanaer Batista (1-3) to take a 4-0 lead. Rob Lyerly and Hector Rabago both knocked RBI singles, while Ray Kruml added a bases-loaded two-RBI single to complete the frame.

Lyerly contributed another RBI single with two outs in the seventh against Jordan Flasher, upping the lead to 5-0.

Ryan Flannery penned the final 2.0 scoreless innings surrendering one hit and one walk while posting a strikeout.

DeAngelo Mack went 3-for-5 with two runs scored for the RiverDogs, while Kruml and Lyerly had two hits and two RBI apiece.
