Buffalo Bisons News Release
TODAY'S GAME: Tonight, the Buffalo Bisons take on the Pawtucket Red Sox in a doubleheader that will conclude their four-game series from Dunn Tire Park (Game 1: 5:30 p.m.). Prior to yesterday's rainout, the Herd won the first two games of the series. Buffalo is now 2-2 against Pawtucket this year with the home team winning all four games. Since the Herd rejoined the International League in 1998, the Bisons and Red Sox have split the 132 regular seasons games they've played (66-66).
PITCHING MATCH-UPS: Tonight's first game will feature Bisons' Jeremy Sowers against Pawtucket's Jimmy Serrano. Sowers' is 2nd in the IL with a 1.21ERA and tied for 2nd in the league with five wins. In game two, Rob Bell will be looking for his fourth win of the season against PawSox starter, Charlie Zink.

HOME SWEET HOME: With 14 wins in Dunn Tire Park, the Bisons have more victories at home than any team in the International League. Buffalo is 14-8 at home, hitting .280 as a team as opposed to their .225 batting average on the road.
THE CLOSER: Reliever Ben Howard is now the International League leader in saves (10) after he stranded a runner on third base with nobody out in the 9th inning Wednesday . The closer has converted his last nine saves and 10 of 11 save opportunities.
PERFECT CRIME: The Bisons went a perfect three for three stealing bases Wednesday night. Ben Francisco stole a pair while Franklin Gutierrez also stole a base, giving each nine steals on the season. As a team, Buffalo has stole 32 bases in only 40 attempts. Their 80% success rate is the second-highest in the International League (Charlotte, 81%).
TOPPIN THE CHARTS: Outfielder Franklin Gutierrez scored a run Wednesday night, his 28th of the season. That ties him with Charlotte's Jerry Owens for the most runs scored in the International League. Gutierrez also has 13 doubles, which is tops on the Bisons roster and is tied for third in the league.
