Today's Game

Tonight, the Bisons host the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders in the second game of a three-game series from Coca-Cola Field (6:05 p.m.). The Herd picked up the 5-3 win last night to improve to 3-5 at home this season. This seven-game homestand will continue on Thursday when the Syracuse Chiefs come to town for a four-game series.

Last Game (BUF 5, SWB 3)

C A.J. Jimenez's sacrifice fly and INF David Adams' RBI-double gave the Bisons a pair of 8th-inning runs in a 5-3 victory over the RailRiders Monday. The duo also drove in runs in 3rd inning with Jimenez's triple and Adams' first double of the game coming in a three-pitch span. SHP Pat Venditte earned his first Bisons win in relief.

vs. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (3-1)

The Bisons took three of four from the RailRiders when they met at PNC Field, April 18-21. That is the Herd's only series win of 2016. The Bisons have scored 28 runs against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in five games (5.6/game) against just 3.2 runs per game in their other 19 contests this year. The Bisons were just 3-6 against the RailRiders at home in 2015.

Roberto Hernandez

RHP Roberto Hernandez gets his second start of the season tonight. The veteran tossed four shutout innings last Wednesday against Rochester, his first action of 2016. Hernandez is 9-7 with a 3.80 ERA in 21 career appearances with the Bisons, having pitched for the Herd from 2004-2006.

David Adams

INF David Adams brings a six-game hit streak into tonight's game. The infielder has averaged .438 (7-16) since April 24 with three doubles, five RBI and three walks. Adams has reached base safely in 14 of his 16 starts with the Bisons and has a .345 on-base pct. on the year. For his career, Adams has a .371 on-base pct. in the minor leagues.

Andy Burns

INF Andy Burns has reached base safely in 12 of his last 15 starts and is hitting .284 (23-81) since an 0-15 start to the season. He picked up two more his last night and is now tied with INF Jesus Montero for the team-lead with eight multi-hit performances. Burns is one of four International League hitters with eight doubles on the season.

Bisons Bits

OF Domonic Brown is tied for 3rd in the International League in both home runs (4) and RBI (16)...INF Alexi Casilla has scored all three times he has been used as a pinch runner...INF Casey Kotchman has reached base in 15 of 18 games this season with a .365 on-base pct...The Bisons are 8-0 when outhitting their opponents.

Blue Jays Update

The Blue Jays (12-15) lost to the Texas Rangers on Monday night, 2-1. Former Bisons CF Kevin Pillar had three of Toronto's seven hits and score the lone run. RHP R.A. Dickey allowed just one run in 6.1 innings of work but did not earn a decision. RHP Marcos Estrada gets the start tonight against the Rangers with a 7:07 first pitch.
