Pigs Look to Even Series with PawSox

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs will look to even the series with the Pawtucket Red Sox on Tuesday night at Coca-Cola Park. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.

RHP Jake Thompson (1-3, 6.16) gets the ball for the Pigs on Tuesday. Thompson was tagged with the loss on April 25 at Scranton/Wilkes-Barre when he allowed five runs on eight hits while fanning six over five innings of work. Back on April 14, the right-hander gave up five runs on six hits in 3.0 IP in a loss to Pawtucket at Coca-Cola Park.

LHP Eduardo Rodriguez (0-1, 4.91) will be making a rehab start for the PawSox. The southpaw was tagged with the loss on Thursday at Syracuse when he surrendered three runs (two earned) on six hits to go along with three walks and two strikeouts over 3.2 IP.

After a three-hit game on Monday, IronPigs OF Cedric Hunter has hit safely in five of his last eight games. In that time, Hunter is hitting .440-1-3 (11-25, 3 2B, 6 R).

The first 3,000 fans 18 and older in attendance will receive a Larry Holmes bobblehead presented by St. Luke's University Health Network. Tuesday is also Heroes Night at Coca-Cola Park and will allow fans the opportunity to honor the local police, firefighters, EMS personnel, and military members who serve and protect the Lehigh Valley and the entire nation, in a pre-game on-field ceremony.
