
Orioles Recall INF Ryan Flaherty from Triple-A Norfolk; Place INF J.J. Hardy on Disabled List

The Orioles today announced that they have recalled INF RYAN FLAHERTY from Triple-A Norfolk and placed INF J.J. HARDY on the 15-day disabled list (retroactive to May 2) with a left foot fracture.
Flaherty, 29, has batted .200/.273/.200 in four games with the Orioles this season. Over five games with Triple-A Norfolk this season, Flaherty hit .421/.500/.474 with a double, RBI, three runs scored, and three walks. In 359 career Major League games, Flaherty has batted .215/.282/.364 with 32 home runs and 109 RBI.
Hardy, 33, hit .244/.291/.410 with two home runs and eight RBI over 22 games with the Orioles this season. In 1395 career Major League games, Hardy has batted .257/.307/.413 with 177 home runs and 624 RBI.
