TODAY'S GAME: Tonight, the Buffalo Bisons face the Durham Bulls in the third game of a four-game series at Coca-Cola Field (7:05 p.m.). On Sunday, the Bisons fell to the Bulls for the second consecutive day by the score of 12-6. Through six games of the eight-game homestand, the Herd is 3-3. The Bisons are 22-20 as the home team this season.
vs. BULLS: The Bisons remain winless in six games against Durham this season. The Bulls swept a four-game set in Durham, June 22-25. Buffalo has lost eight straight to the Bulls dating back to 2011. The Bisons have a 32-26 (.552) edge over the Bulls at Coca-Cola Field.
OLE : LHP GARRETT OLSON will get the nod for the Herd tonight, his 17th start of the season. In his last time out on June 27, Olson captured his third win of the season against Louisville (6.1IP, 7H, 3ER, 5K) to improve his season record to 3-4. The southpaw is currently 3-0 with a 4.35ERA in eight starts against non-divisional opponents.
SILKY: INF JOSH SATIN has hit .333 (26-78) with 13RBI and 18 runs scored in 22 games since rejoining the Herd on June 9. Satin has reached base in 11 straight games. In six contests versus Durham this season, Satin has slugged three home runs and driven in eight RBI, while batting .556 (13-23).
J-ROD: INF JOSH RODRIGUEZ has hit in eight of his first nine games with the Bisons, including five multi-hit efforts. Combined with his 57 games with Binghamton (AA), Rodriguez is hitting .308 (77-250) with eight home runs, 34RBI and 38 runs scored.
REYES: After going hitless in the Bisons' 3-1 loss to Norfolk on June 20, OF RAUL REYES discovered his bat in Durham. During Buffalo's trip to Tobacco Road, Reyes went a combined 7-13 (.538) at the plate in three contests. Yesterday, Reyes added an RBI-single in the bottom of the second to his totals.
BISON BITS: Eleven of OF MATT DEN DEKKER'S first 17 hits at Triple-A have gone for extra bases (5 doubles, 2 triples, 3 homers)...RHP PEDRO BEATO has pitched 5.0 scoreless innings against Durham this season (4H, 2K). He has made five straight appearances without allowing an earned run (7.2IP).
METS UPDATE : The Mets (43-37) four-game winning streak came to an end Sunday night, as the L.A. Dodgers prevented a series sweep with an 8-3 victory. INF DAVID WRIGHT and former Bisons RHP R.A. DICKEY were named to the NL All-Star roster. The Mets are off today before they return to action on Tuesday versus Philadelphia.
