Today's Game

This afternoon, the Bisons take on the Pawtucket Red Sox in the finale of a three-game set at McCoy Stadium (12:05 p.m.). The teams split a well-pitched doubleheader last night with the PawSox winning 1-0 before the Herd took the nightcap, 3-1. Tomorrow, the Bisons open up a four-game series in Lehigh Valley against the IronPigs.

The Bisons are now 3-2 against the PawSox this year. A win this afternoon would give the Herd its first series win in Pawtucket since it took three of four, July 12-15, 2012. The Bisons and PawSox will not meet again this year until July 24 at McCoy Stadium.

Randy Wolf

LHP RANDY WOLF makes his third start of the year this afternoon. The veteran is 2-0 for the Bisons, having worked five innings in each of his first two starts. Last Thursday against the IronPigs, Wolf allowed seven hits and three walks, but yielded just one run in a 5-1 Herd win.

Shutdown Staff

The Bisons pitching staff has allowed just nine runs over the last eight games, helping the Herd to 7-1 record over the last week. The Bisons' 1.91 ERA leads the International League as does the club's .198 batting average against. Bisons starters have allowed one or fewer runs in 10 of their 12 outings so far this season.

Matt Hague

INF MATT HAGUE leads the Bisons with a .333 (12-36) batting average as well as seven RBI. The veteran has four multi-hit performances in his last eight starts and has driven in seven runs in eight games since April 13. Hague has also posted a .429 on-base pct. along with a .528 slugging pct. for a .956 OPS.

Muni!

INF MUNENORI KAWASAKI has reached base in five straight games and has posted a .294 batting average and a .429 on-base pct. so far this season. He also has a pair of stolen bases in three attempts this year.

Bisons Bits

The Bisons increased their league-leading fielding pct. to .988 thanks to two errorless games last night...Five active Bisons players have posted more walks than strikeouts through the first 12 games, including INF MATT HAGUE (5 BB, 1 SO)...RHP BO SCHULTZ (3-3) and RHP BOBBY KORECY (2-2) have converted all five of the Herd's save opps.

Blue Jays Update

The Blue Jays (7-7) rolled to a 13-6 win over Baltimore last night. Josh Donaldson had three more hits (two doubles) to raise his average to .345 while former Bison Ryan Goins went 2-4 with three RBI. The Blue Jays host the Orioles again tonight at 7:07 p.m.
