Today's Game

Tonight, the Bisons play the first game of a three-game series against the Columbus Clippers at Huntington Park (6:35 p.m.). Tonight's game also starts a seven-game roadtrip as Buffalo will travel to Toledo on Thursday. The Herd is coming off a 4-3 homestand against the Bulls and Mud Hens.

vs. the Clippers

The Bisons went 5-3 against the Clippers in 2014, and earned a 2-2 split in the four games played in Columbus. Buffalo has not lost a series in their six trips to Huntington Park, with two series wins (2009, 2011) and four splits.

Miguel Castro

RHP MIGUEL CASTRO will make his third start of the year with the Bisons tonight. The 20-year-old threw 2.0 innings on Tuesday in a 6-2 win over the Bulls. In that game, Castro allowed no hits and just one unearned run as he continues to be stretched out from beginning the 2015 season in the Blue Jays' bullpen.

Pitching Duel

Tonight's matchup will feature two of the best pitching staffs in the International League. Buffalo enters the contest with a league-best 2.50 ERA, while Columbus boasts the third-lowest ERA with a 2.92. Each staff features three pitchers in the top eight by ERA in the IL, with the Bisons' LHP RANDY WOLF leading all qualifiers with a 1.10.

New Guy

36-year-old INF LUKE SCOTT has made his presence felt so far in his first two games with the Herd. The veteran is 4-9 at the plate (.444) and a perfect 2-2 with runners in scoring position (2 RBI). Scott has 135 career big league home runs in 889 Major League games.

Brad Glenn

OF BRAD GLENN hit in six of the seven games during the Bisons most recent homestand. The slugger averaged .481 (13-27) with four doubles, a home run and six RBI. The stretch raised Glenn's season average 68 points from .177 to .245.

Bisons Bits

With one hit yesterday, INF MATT HAGUE has now collected a hit in 29 of his 36 games played this year. He has reached base in 31 total contests this season...INF RYAN SCHIMPF racked up two hits yesterday, including a double. In just 11 games with the Herd in 2015, he has three multi-hit games, including two in his past two games.

Blue Jays Update

On Sunday, the Blue Jays (17-22) were swept by the Astros by a score of 4-2, marking their fifth consecutive defeat. LHP MARK BUEHRLE allowed six hits over 8.0 IP. After going 1-6 on their roadtrip, they return home today to begin a 10-game homestand against the Angels (1:07 p.m.)
