Indianapolis Indians News Release

INDIANAPOLIS - Bryce Brentz broke a 3-3 tie with a solo home run in the top of the seventh for the Pawtucket Red Sox, and the Indianapolis Indians fell on Monday night at Victory Field, 7-4. Lafayette Ind. native Clayton Richard allowed three runs and worked into the sixth inning in his home debut for the Tribe.

Indianapolis (22-17) took an early lead with a pair of runs in the bottom of the first. Alen Hanson doubled down the right-field line to plate Gorkys Hernandez, and Hanson scored on Deibinson Romero's single.

The lead lasted until the fifth inning, when Luis Jimenez, with the bases loaded, delivered a line drive to the right-center field gap. The three RBI triple gave Pawtucket (22-17) a 3-2 advantage.

The Indians' Elias Diaz drove home Tony Sanchez with a sacrifice fly in the sixth inning to tie the game at three, but Brentz's blast put the visitors ahead for good.

With two games remaining in this series, the Tribe must win both to preserve a streak of winning eight straight series against the Red Sox at Victory Field dating back to 2007.
