Today's Game

This evening, the Bisons take on the Pawtucket Red Sox to start a three-game weekend series at Sahlen Field. Following this, the Herd will stay home to take on the visiting Red Wings to round out the final homestand of the regular season with four games. Then Buffalo will travel to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre for the final four games of the regular season.

Last Game: BUF 3, ROC 20

The Bisons lost to the Red Wings in what is the biggest losing scoring margin of the 2019 season for the Herd. C Michael De La Cruz was Buffalo's lone source of RBIs as he drove in two with a single in the sixth inning while the rest of the team combined for juts two more hits in the game. Rochester had five different batters pick up three hits or more and were led by C Tomas Telis and his 4-4 night with 6 RBI's in the win.

Pawtucket Red Sox (10-6)

This will be the final meeting between the Herd and the PawSox on the season. In their previous five meetings Buffalo has managed to take 10 out of 16 games from Pawtucket which secures the season series win.

Today's Starter

RHP Conor Fisk will take the mound for the Herd in his 15th start and his 30th appearance of the 2019 campaign. In his last outting, he spun 5.0 IP while giving up six runs, five earned, on eight hits and striking out three batters to one walk. Fisk will look to improve upon a 1-4 record at home where he carries a 7.26 ERA over 39.2 innings.

Michael De La Cruz

C Michael De La Cruz acted as the lone source of RBIs for the Bisons' offense as he drove in Forrest Wall and Andy Burns on a single in the sixth inning. He finished the game 1-4 with the two RBIs to bring his season total to 24. De La Cruz comes intho this game carrying a .281 (18-64) batting average with five doubles, a home run, 10 RBI's and 17 walks at home this season.

Roemon Fields

OF Roemon Fields made his first ever pitching appearance last night as he was tapped to pitch the eighth for the Herd. He struck out one batter and walked two others but avoided any damage by not allowing any runs, the only pitcher of the game to do so for Buffalo.

IL Standings

The Bisons still sit in third in the IL North standings after last night's loss, and remain three games behind the division leading Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders. The Herd's elimination number stands at nine, and is now also a game and a half back of the Syracuse for second in the North.

Blue Jays

Toronto (52-78) lost last night against the Los Angeles Dodgers, 3-2, as Kike Hernandez hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth as a part of the three-run come back inning. Vlad Guerrero Jr. hit his 15th homer of the season while Jacob Waguespack allowed just two base runners over 7.0 IP in the losing effort. Tonight the Jays will meet up with the Mariners in Seattle to start a three-game set, first pitch is at 10:10 p.m. EDT.
