Today's Game

This evening the Bisons begin their first road trip of the season, against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders. It is the first stop on a two city trip for the Herd. The team was postponed due to inclement weather yesterday. Tonight is the home opener for the RailRiders after starting the season on the road.

Last Game: BUF 4, PAW 6

Pawtucket scored three runs in the third inning off of Bisons starter Jacob Waguespack, and the visitors never looked back. The bullpen worked 4.2 innings of scoreless relief to keep the team in the game, with Dusty Isaacs collecting eight outs in relief. Cavan Biggio and Andy Burns extended their hitting streaks to six straigt games in the loss.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (2-2)

The Bisons picked up two wins in the first series of the season with the RailRiders to split in Buffalo. Jacob Waguespack opened the season on the mound to help Buffalo win on opening day 8-3 at Sahlen Field.

Today's Starter

Shawn Morimando makes his second start of the season for Buffalo. The left hander pitched six days ago against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, going three innings and taking the loss. The southpaw also made six relief apparances for the Blue Jays during Spring Training.

Cavan Biggio

Second baseman Cavan Biggio extended his hitting streak in the opening inning on Tuesday. The Triple-A rookie has now hit safely in all six games of the 2019 season. Biggio has eight hits for the Herd, for a .400 batting average and is currently slashing .520/.800/1.320.

Andy Burns

Veteran utilityman Andy Burns has hit safely in six straight games for the Herd. His batting average now sits at .400 (8-20) through the first homestand of the season. Burns has two two-hit games, including going 2-3 with a walk on Tuesday.

Blue Jays Update

Toronto (4-8) closes out their road trip with RHP Aaron Sanchez on the hill against the Boston Red Sox at 7:10 p.m. The two teams were off yesterday after the Blue Jays took the 7-5 win over Boston in the home opener at Fenway Park on Tuesday. The Jays will return home after the game to welcome the Tampa Bay Rays for a three-game series at Rogers Centre over the weekend.
