Today's Game

Tonight, the Bisons take on the Columbus Clippers in the first game of a three-game series from Huntington Park (6:35 p.m.). Tonight's contest also opens up a seven-game Ohio roadtrip as the Herd will travel to Toledo on Friday. The Bisons are coming of a 5-2 homestand with series wins over the Mud Hens and the Red Sox.

Last Game (BUF 2, PAW 1)

On Sunday, the Bisons won on a ninth-inning walk-off RBI-single from INF Casey Kotchman. Kotchman was 2-3 with a double and a walk in the contest. LHP Wade LeBlanc allowed and unearned run in seven innings and C A.J. Jimenez threw out a pair baserunners.

vs. Columbus (0-0)

The Bisons will face the Clippers only six times this season, all of which will happen in the next nine days. Columbus travels to Coca-Cola Field for a three-game set, May 30-June 1. Buffalo has won the season series each of the last four years, with a 4-3 record in 2015.

Roberto Hernandez

RHP Roberto Hernandez makes his sixth start of the season today. The veteran was victorious last Wednesday in a 7-5 win over the Mud Hens. He allowed five runs in five innings with three strikeouts. This is only Hernandez's second road test of the season as he is 2-1 with a 3.66 ERA in four starts at home this year.

A.J. Jimenez

In his last nine games, C A.J. Jimenez has thrown out 40% of would-be base stealers (6 CS in 15 attempts). Jimenez threw a pair of runners out on Sunday against Pawtucket. Over his nine-year minor league career, Jimenez has thrown out 173 of 435 would-be base stealers (also 40%).

Jesus Montero

DH Jesus Montero has hit in four straight games (.400, 6-15) and has three doubles, two home runs and six RBI in his last six contests. The slugger ranks tied for 3rd in the International League with 12 doubles, 4th with 47 hits and 14th with a .296 batting average.

Rehabbing Blue Jays

2B Devon Travis (left shoulder) has hit in three of his four games with the Bisons with a .294 average, two doubles, two RBI and two runs scored. LHP Aaron Loup (left elbow) joined the Bisons Saturday and threw an inning of shutout relief (1H) on Sunday.

Bisons Bits

INF Andy Burns has hit in eight of his last 10 games with a .325 average (13-40) and nine RBI...RHP Dustin Antolin has recorded a save in each of his last four outings...The Bisons are 12-11 on the road this season. They have not had a winning road record since 2003 (39-33).

Blue Jays Update

The Blue Jays (22-24) were off on Monday. The club is coming off a 3-1 series win in Minnesota that ended with a 3-1 win on Sunday afternoon. Toronto opens up three-game series in New York against the Yankees tonight (7:05 p.m.). Toronto is a half-game behind the 3rd-place Yanks in the AL East division and six games behind Baltimore and Boston.
