Today's Game This evening, the Bisons face the Charlotte Knights in the second game of a three-game series. Their seven-game road trip through the IL South will continue when the team takes on the Gwinnett Stripers for four games. The Herd will have a scheduled off-day on Monday before returning home for their final homestand of the 2018 season to face division rivals Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (August 21-23) and Pawtucket Red Sox (August 24-27).

Last Game: BUF 8, CHA 7 RHP Jacob Waguespack recorded his first road game win for the Herd tossing 5.0 innings of work giving up 4H, 5R/ER, 3BB, 3SO, and one home run. OF Billy McKinney's first homerun as a Bison helped secure last night's victory over Charlotte. Buffalo also had three stolen bases last night by three different players (Alford (14), Leblebijian (5), and Lopes (16)).

Charlotte (2-2) The Bisons and Knights are meeting for their final series of the season. The two teams last played June 1-3 at Coca-Cola Field. Of the thirteen Buffalo hitters who played in the June series, all but three had at least one RBI.

Today's Starter: RHP Mike Hauschild RHP Mike Hauschild heads to the mound for the first time with the Bisons. Hauschild was signed as a free agent by the Blue Jays on 8/2 and optioned to Buffalo on 8/11. The righty appeared in two games for the Jays, going a combined 8/1IP, 7H, 4R/4ER, 4BB, 5SO, in one start and one relief appearance.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. 3B Vladimir Guerrero Jr. was named the International League Batter of the Week for the week of August 6-12. The slugger went 11-24 (.458AVG) with four home runs, five RBIs and a 1.000 slugging pct. He becomes the third Bisons' player to have Player of the Week honors this season (LHP Ryan Borucki, June 18-24, and RHP Sean Reid-Foley, July 16-22). INF Jason Leblebijian was the last Bison to have Batter of the Week honors (May 29-June 4, 2017).

Billy McKinney OF Billy McKinney went 2-4 with 3RBIs in yesterday's victory, earning his first homerun as a Bison and his seventh triple on the season. McKinney recorded his third multi-hit game since joining the Herd and is averaging .375 (3-8) when he is the designated hitter.

Transactions On Monday, the Bisons announced that INF/OF Darnell Sweeney was activated off of the Temporary Inactive list, while INF Gift Ngoepe was released, RHP Brandon Cumpton was designated for assignment, and RHP Sean Reid-Foley was promoted to Toronto from the Taxi Squad.

Tim Lopes INF Tim Lopes picked up his 22nd multi-hit game on the season after going 2-4 with an RBI and a SB in last night's win. The infielder is riding a five game hitting streak, going 9-19 (.474), while leading the Herd with a .285 batting average.

Blue Jays Update Toronto (53-65) dropped the first game of the series against the Kansas City Royals. RHP Sean Reid-Foley made his major league debut in last night's loss tossing 5.0 innings of work, giving up 6H, 3R/ER, 3BB, 3SO and 1HR. C Danny Jansen also appeared in his first MLB game last night recording two of Toronto's five hits. The Jays look to even the series tonight at 8:15 p.m. with LHP Ryan Borucki getting the start.
