
Bisons Activate Gautreau, Grant Howard Free Agency

The Buffalo Bisons have activated infielder Jake Gautreau off the disabled list and granted pitcher Ben Howard his free agency. The move was made prior to yesterday's game in Indianapolis against the Indians.
Gautreau was placed on the disabled list on July 8, retroactive to July 6. For the season, he has hit .189 (38-201) with 10 doubles, seven home runs and 23RBI in 57 games. He's played 29 games at second base, 11 games at first base and seven at third base.
Howard pitched in 34 games for Buffalo. He was 2-1 with a 3.98ERA while converting 11 of 15 save opportunities. He last appeared for the team on Saturday and took the loss in a 3-2, 13-inning victory by Indianapolis.
