Montgomery Biscuits News Release

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The Montgomery Biscuits continued their tumble Sunday afternoon, falling to the Chattanooga Lookouts, 4-1 at BellSouth Park.

Chattanooga starting pitcher Steve Kelly allowed just one run in seven strong innings. He scattered eight hits, all singles, and struck out four. His seventh win of the season ties him with Montgomery's Jim Magrane for the most wins in the Southern League.

Magrane, facing the Lookouts for the first time since 2001, fell to 7-4, but not for a lack of effort. Chattanooga broke the scoreless tie against him in the fifth inning when Luis Bolivar led off with a double, moved to third on an Anderson Machado sacrifice bunt and scored on a Rafael Matooka sacrifice fly.

The Lookouts got three more against reliever Marcos Carvajal. Yorkin Ferreras, who allowed one of Carvajal's runners to score in the eighth, got one out.

The Biscuits' only run scored on an Aneudi Cuevas single in the seventh inning. Cuevas was 3-for-3.

The fourth game of the series is Monday night at 6:15. Chris Flinn will pitch for Montgomery.
