
Bigras Named to Under 17 Team

Owen Sound Attack News Release
The Owen Sound Attack is pleased to announce that defenseman Chris Bigras has been named to Ontario's Under 17 Team that will compete at the upcoming 2012 World Hockey Challenge being held in Windsor Ontario from December 27, 2011 through January 4, 2012.
Bigras, the Attack's 2nd Round Selection in the 2011 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection is one of seven Ontario Hockey League defenseman that were named to the squad. "It is always a challenge when you have to select a team from a group of athletes who are so committed to excellence within their sport. We know that there will always be disappointment for those players who are not selected at the end of the evaluation process. However, we as a staff believe that we have put together a group of athletes who will represent Ontario with pride and class both on and off the ice and are capable of winning the Gold medal at this year's World Hockey Challenge stated Director of Operations Barclay Branch."
The Elmvale, On. native is currently sidelines with a broken jaw due to taking a puck off of the face in practice, however; the injury is healing on schedule and Bigras is expected to return to the Attack line-up well before the tournament begins.
The 6'0, 175lb rearguard has 2 points in 12 games this season to go along with 8 penalty minutes.
The Attack wish to congratulate Chris and wish him the best of luck in representing the province of Ontario and the Attack.
