BAKERSFIELD - Jerel McNeal poured in a career-high of 42 points to lead the Bakersfield Jam (26-12) on the road to a 109-102 overtime win over the Fort Wayne Mad Ants (19-20). McNeal converted 12-of-25 field goals, including 5-of-9 from beyond the arc, made 13-of-15 free-throws, dished out seven assists and grabbed three rebounds. His 42 ties the most points scored of any player this season.

Sunday's game between Bakersfield and Fort Wayne saw 22 lead changes and the score tied 19 times as both teams went back-and-forth the entire game. With 2:52 to go in the game and Fort Wayne holding a 95-91 lead, McNeal made two clutch free-throws and followed it up on the next offensive possession with a jump shot to tie it at 95. After a monster dunk by Adam Koch that tie it back up at 97, Fort Wayne had the ball with four seconds left but missed at the buzzer. In overtime, it was all Bakersfield as they outscored the Mad Ants 12-5 behind Damion James' six points (2-of-2 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs).

James (18 points, 10 rebounds) and Quincy Acy (14 points, 12 rebounds) each finished with a double-double for the Jam. Koch tallied 12 points and seven rebounds off the bench.

Tony Mitchell led Fort Wayne with 23 points and six rebounds. Anthony Richardson scored 15 points and grabbed nine rebounds while Sadiel Rojas and Anthony Harris each contributed 13 points off the bench.
