Santa Cruz, CA, (March 23, 2013) - The Texas Legends, presented by Veracruz (visit Veracruz.mx), fell to the Santa Cruz Warriors on the road 82-93.
Santa Cruz took an early lead, going into halftime up 43-38. The Legends answered by coming out of the locker room with a burst and outscoring the Warriors 31-20 to take a 3-point lead heading into the final quarter. The fought an offensive battle, but the Warriors recovered the advantage halfway through the fourth quarter and kept hold of it.
The Legends were led by Solomon Bozeman and Fred House who came off the bench to fire off 19 and 16 respectively. Dwayne Jones posted his third straight double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds.
Jeremy Tyler and Daniel Nwaelele were the leading scorers for Santa Cruz coming off the bench to add 18 and 17 each. Tyler also led the team in rebounds, grabbing 17 boards.
The Legends are on the road again tomorrow, facing the Reno Bighorns at 5:00pm CT. Fans can catch all the action live on the D-League's Youtube channel.
