Northwest Arkansas Naturals News Release
SPRINGDALE, Ark. - The Northwest Arkansas Naturals, along with media partner KIX 104 are proud to announce that Canaan Smith, a Mercury Nashville recording artist, will be performing a live post-game concert following the Naturals game against the San Antonio Missions, the Double-A San Diego Padres, on Saturday, August 9 as part of our BIG Country Bash event.
Smith, a Williamsburg, Virginia native has recently burst onto the scene with his single "We Got Us" and the young singer/songwriter has been touring with the likes of Darius Rucker, Dierks Bentley, and Florida Georgia Line.
The Mercury Nashville recording artist newest single, "Take You There" is fast becoming a summer hit. "It's like gasoline in the tank," Smith says. "It's got an energy that gets the crowd high, and I love performing it. The first line says, 'I might be a bad boy,' and right off the bat, it sets the tone for the message of the song and what's coming next."
In addition to writing his own album, Smith co-wrote songs such as Love and Theft's top ten hit "Runaway" and also co-wrote Jason Aldean's "Black Tears" with Florida Georgia Line's Tyler Hubbard. Canaan Smith is a songwriter of considerable depth and authenticity, and possesses a voice that can drive an audience to their feet one minute and make them emotional the next.
