
Beuning Returns, Barbero Placed on Waivers

WINNIPEG - Winnipeg Goldeyes manager Rick Forney announced today that the baseball club has signed right-handed pitcher Brian Beuning and placed outfielder Dan Barbero on irrevocable waivers for the purpose of granting his release.
Beuning, 31, is 2-0 with a 0.82 ERA in five games with the Goldeyes this season. He returns to the Goldeyes for a week while he is on holidays from his profession as a state trooper in Minnesota.
Barbero hit .250 with a home run and eight RBI in 22 games during two stints with the Goldeyes this season.
The Goldeyes have 22 players on their active roster, including 12 pitchers and 10 position players.
