
Beloit Takes Second Game of the Series

Beloit starter David Bromberg picked up his fifth win of the season on Friday night as the Snappers defeated the Peoria Chiefs 5-1 in Peoria.
Bromberg pitched 5.2 innings allowing only one run with strking out five. Three Snappers releivers combined to pitch 3.1 innings of one hit ball to seal the victory.
Peoria took a 1-0 lead after three innings, but Beloit scored two in the top of the 4th and added three more in the top of the 9th to secure the victory. Joe Benson and Paul Kelly each had two hits for the Snappers, while Ozzie Lewis and Estarlin De Los Santos each knocked in two runs for Beloit.
The win moves the Snappers to 2-0 in the second half of the Midwest League season, while dropping Peoria to 0-2.
