
Beloit Offense Explodes To Remain Undefeated In Second Half

The Beloit Snappers offense exploded for 11 runs on 15 hits Saturday night as they downed the Peoria Chiefs 11-5 in Peoria.
Snappers outfielder Chris Parmelee hit his 13th home run of the season, while going 4 for 5 with three runs scored and three runs batted in on the night. Mark Dolenc and Ozzie Lewis made up the rest of the Beloit outfield and combined to go 6 for 9, with three runs scored in the contest.
Beloit starter Santos Arias picked up his third win of the season, while Henry Reyes and Danny Hernandez combined for three scoreless innings to close out the night.
The victory keeps the Snappers undefeated and in first place in the second half with a 3-0 record (39-32 overall), while Peoria drops to 0-3 (30-41).
The two teams will finish up the four game set this afternoon, before the Snappers travel to Clinton for four games.
