BELOIT, WI - The Beloit Snappers struggled both offensively and defensively tonight as they fell to the Cedar Rapids Kernels by a score of 11-1.

The Kernels started off hot and just kept piling on runs, as they scored runs in every inning except the eighth and ninth.

Cedar Rapids' Pat Kelly was on fire as he went 3-for-4 with two doubles and a homer.

Beloit scored their only run in the second inning when Yairo Munoz singled on a ground ball to center field to score Shawn Duinkerk.

Beloit's pitching wasn't great as they used five pitchers and they all allowed at least one earned run except for Rob Huber who pitched 0.1 innings. Jordan Schwartz got the loss as he pitched 3.2 innings, allowed four hits, four earned runs, and struck out five Kernels. He goes to 0-4 on the season.

The Snappers are now 13-15 on the season. Beloit plays the Cedar Rapids Kernels, Midwest League affiliate of the Minnesota Twins, again tomorrow night at 6:30 PM and on Saturday at 2:00 PM.
