
Beloit snaps two game skid

Notes: The Snappers jumped on the board with one run in the second inning followed by one run in each of the next two innings, taking a 3-0 lead. Erik Lis scored on fielder's choice for the first run of the game. The second Snappers run came in the third as Allan de San Miguel scored on a double off the bat of Dwayne White. Beloit tallied their third run of the game on a fourth inning RBI single by Juan Portes, scoring Eli Tintor.
The Snappers added two more runs in the bottom of the eighth on a towering two-run home run to left field off the bat of Eli Tintor, giving Beloit a 5-1 advantage.
Dayton's lone run came in the seventh on a one out solo homerun by third baseman Bradley Key. Newly acquired Snapper Zach Ward got the win, pitching five and two third innings, giving up one hit and no runs. Ward improved to 8-0 on the season.
Upcoming Schedule: The Snappers will take on the Dayton Dragons August 4th at Pohlman Field. The game is scheduled for 7:00 PM. The Snappers play the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers at Wisconsin August 5th through August 8th. The Snappers travel to Fort Wayne to battle the Wizards August 10th through August 13th.
