Bees Early Scoring Backs 3-2 Victory

Burlington jumped out to a three-run lead before Beloit ever came to the plate, then hung on to take game two of a three game set 3-2.

Jordyn Adams lead off by reaching on a fielding error by Snapper second baseman Joseph Pena. Kevin Maitan followed with a single to center to make it first and second. Nonie Williams singled to right to load the bases. In the course of the remainder of the inning Spencer Griffin, Harrison Wenson and Justin Jones all earned RBIs with run scoring walks. Bees up 3-0. None of the runs were earned.

Bees starter Cole Duensing ran his record to 5-2 with five solid innings. He gave up six hits, and single runs in the second and sixth innings. The righty struck out three and walked two.

Luke Lind and Tyler Smith shutdown the Snappers through the final four frames. Smith collected a save, his fourth.

Maitan had two more hits in this game. He is 4 for 9 in the series, with 3 runs scored and an RBI. Williams is 3 for 7 with two RBI and a run scored.
