Albuquerque Isotopes News Release

Salt Lake City, UT - Despite a two-run homer by Hunter Stovall to tighten the gap to three runs, the Albuquerque Isotopes could not provide any further late offense Friday night, as they dropped their sixth consecutive game by a final score of 6-3.

Yonathan Daza and Aaron Schunk remained hot at the plate, as each turned in a 3-for-4 showing.

Topes Scope: - Albuquerque is in the midst of their worst losing skid since Sept. 15-21, 2022, when they also dropped six in a row. Additionally, this marks the first time the Isotopes have fallen in the first four games of a series since last September vs. El Paso, when they eventually lost the first six before salvaging the finale.

- Salt Lake left-handed pitcher Kenny Rosenberg fanned 10 batters without a walk in six innings of one-hit ball. It was the most punchouts by an opposing starter since Sugar Land's Jimmy Endersby struck out 10 in seven frames on September 24th.

- Ryan Rolison made the start for Albuquerque and allowed two runs in the first inning. He was then forced to exit due to an undisclosed injury while pitching to Jordyn Adams in the second.

- Stovall connected on his second homer of the season and first since May 3 vs. Sugar Land. His 2-for-3 effort marked his 12th multi-hit performance.

- Schunk's recorded his 15th multi-hit game and it was the eighth time he produced three knocks in a contest. He is slashing .419/.439/.774 with eight doubles, a triple, four homers and 16 RBI in his last 17 ballgames.

- Daza produced his 11th multi-hit game at Triple-A this season, including the seventh in the last nine contests he has appeared in. Daza is 17-for-42 during the stretch.

- Trevor Boone struck out all four times he came to the plate, the fifth time in his professional career he has fanned that many times.

- The Isotopes failed to draw a walk in a contest for the first time sine Aug. 9, 2022 vs. Reno. Additionally, their 15 strikeouts at the plate were the second-most in a nine-inning contest this season (16, 4/20 vs. OKC).

- Michael Stefanic extended his on-base streak to 57 consecutive games with a fifth-inning double for the Bees. The stretch dates back to Sept. 2, 2022.

- Albuquerque has dropped four consecutive contests to Salt Lake for the first time since July 25-28, 2019.

On Deck: Right-handed pitcher Karl Kauffmann is scheduled to start for the Isotopes tomorrow evening. He will be opposed by southpaw Jake Kalish. First pitch from the Beehive State is set for 6:35 p.m.
