Beauchemin returns to Hamilton

Montreal Canadiens' General Manager, Bob Gainey, announced that defenceman Francois Beauchemin has been assigned to the AHL's Hamilton Bulldogs. Defenceman Karl Dykhuis has been recalled from Hamilton to Montreal.

Beauchemin, a 23-year-old native of Sorel, Quebec, has played in 52 games with the Bulldogs this season. The 6'0, 200 pound blue-liner leads all Hamilton defenceman in scoring with 23 points (4-19-23). Beauchemin shows a plus/minus rating of +8 and has earned 37 penalty minutes.

Dykhuis has played in 54 games with the Bulldogs this season, scoring five goals and adding 17 assists for a total of 22 points (5-17-22). He has earned a +4 rating and collected 61 penalty minutes. Dykhuis played in 65 games with the Canadiens last season, collecting 5 points (1-4-5).
