Peoria Rivermen News Release
PEORIA, Ill. (July 7, 2009) - It's 88 days away from the start of the American Hockey League season and the Peoria Rivermen are offering relief from the hot summer months with a new way to save money on season tickets. Whenever the temperature hits 88 degrees in Peoria, full-season tickets will be available the following day for $88 off of each ticket purchased.
When the thermometer hits 88 degrees on a weekday, the discount will be applied the following day. If the mercury rises above 88 on Friday, Saturday or Sunday the discount will be available on Monday. The offer is valid on both upper and lower-bowl seats and drops the prices to $597 and $407 respectively. Aside from the great savings, additional benefits of becoming a Rivermen season ticket holder include the same great seat for every regular season home game, bonus tickets to weekday games for friends and family, an unused ticket redemption plan, and much more.
The temperature will be regulated by WEEK/WHOI and can be checked anytime at www.centralillinoisnews.com.
The Rivermen are set to embark on the 28th season of professional hockey in Peoria. While the AHL schedule will not be finalized until the beginning of August, league-wide opening night has been scheduled for October 3.
Partial season tickets are also now on sale for the 2009-10 season and the Rivermen have announced six prime dates for the upcoming campaign. Take advantage of great savings as part of the Schedule Preview Package or be one of the first to lock in your group date.
