HARTFORD, July 7, 2009: The American Hockey League announced today a divisional realignment that will feature the Hartford Wolf Pack's GEICO Connecticut Cup rivals, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, joining the Pack in the Atlantic Division. The AHL also announced the schedule format for the 2009-10 season.

The GEICO Connecticut Cup will once again feature 10 battles (five at Hartford's XL Center, five in Bridgeport) between the Wolf Pack and the Sound Tigers, who have been members of the East Division for the previous eight seasons of their existence. The Pack and Sound Tigers have not been divisional rivals since the 2001-02 and 2002-03 campaigns, when both played out of the East Division.

The Wolf Pack will also see traditional rivals, and Atlantic-Division stalwarts, Springfield and Providence 10 times each (five home, five away) in 2009-10. Atlantic-Division opponents Lowell, Manchester and Worcester will appear on the Pack's schedule eight times each (four home, four away), and Hartford will play divisional rival Portland six times (three home, three away).

The Wolf Pack will hook up with the entire East Division at least once, with two games (one home, one away) vs. Albany, Binghamton, Hershey, Syracuse (which has been moved into the East from the North Division for 2009-10), Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and the new Adirondack Phantoms, and four meetings (two home, two away) with the Norfolk Admirals.

The only Western-Conference opposition the Wolf Pack will see in the 2009-10 season is two games (one home, one away) vs. the Hamilton Bulldogs and the Toronto Marlies.

The Wolf Pack's full schedule of specific game dates will be announced as soon as it is finalized, which is expected to be in early August.

Season tickets are now on sale for the 2009-10 Wolf Pack season. The Wolf Pack is offering "Knockout Season Ticket Prices" for 2009-10, with across-the-board price reductions of 8-13% depending on the seat location.
