AHL Hershey Bears

Bears wrap up four games in five days vs. Norfolk today

January 15, 2006 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Hershey Bears News Release

Following a 2-1 overtime win Saturday against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, the BEARS jump right back into action today as the Norfolk Admirals come to call at GIANT Center at 5:00 p.m.

The Admirals enjoyed the day off Saturday while the BEARS were taking on the Penguins. Kirk Daubenspeck, who shut out the Springfield Falcons Wednesday night at MassMutual Center 3-0, is expected to be the netminder of choice today for Bruce Boudreau's team. Norfolk begins the day trailing the BEARS by 18 points in the East Division, but the Admirals do have six games in hand on HERSHEY. Norfolk has played the fewest games in the AHL (35) as Sunday action in the league gets underway.

First place Wilkes-Barre/Scranton is off today, having lost three games in a row for the first time all season. The Penguins will play a Monday afternoon game in Syracuse against the Crunch at 2:00 p.m.

Tickets remain for today's game with Norfolk at the GIANT Center box office, or by calling (717) 508-BEAR.
