Pair returned to ECHL

DES MOINES, IA - Iowa Stars Director of Hockey Operations Scott White announced that the Des Moines-based team has returned on loan center D'Arcy McConvey to the club's ECHL affiliate, the Idaho Steelheads and has returned on loan left winger Krys Barch to the Greenville Grrowl of the ECHL.

Recalled on January 3rd, McConvey skated in four games during his recent stint with Iowa. The 5-10, 190-pound center has appeared in eight total games for Iowa, accumulating eight penalty minutes: 8(0/0/0)8. The Richmond Hill, Ontario native departed Idaho with 16 goals and 20 assists in 23 games.

A 1998 fourth round selection of the Washington Capitals, the 6-2, 200 pound Barch has skated in six games for the Stars this season. He recorded his only point, a goal, on January 13th in a 3-2 win in Houston. He also has 21 penalty minutes: 6(1/0/1)21. Now in his sixth year as a pro, Barch has skated in 11 games for the Greenville Grrowl this season, recording six goals, one assist and 68 penalty minutes: 11(6/1/7)68.

NEXT THREE GAMES: The Iowa Stars travel to Grand Rapids for a Thursday night game against the Griffins. Iowa then returns home for the first two games of a five-game home-stand. The Stars welcome the Chicago Wolves back to Wells Fargo Arena on Friday, January 20th on 4 for $40 night! Junior Lessard will also be presented with his AHL Award for earning the Player of the Week. The following night, the 21st, join local area mascots in celebrating SHOOTER'S FIRST BIRTHDAY! The first 5,000 fans will receive a Shooter Bobblehead.
