Bears start quick, but fall in Philadelphia 4-1

Marek Svatos scored just 25 seconds into the game, but the Phantoms scored the next four to defeat the BEARS Friday night 4-1 at the Wachovia Spectrum.
The BEARS got off to a quick start just 25 seconds into the game when Svatos scored his second goal of the season off of a Brett Clark rebound. HERSHEY outshot the Phantoms 11-4 in the first period.
The Phantoms responded from the start of the second period by outshooting HERSHEY in the middle stanza 15-5. Joey Hope scored his first professional goal with help from Dennis Seidenberg and Peter White at the 2:46 mark of the second to tie the game. Seidenberg then scored his second goal of the season at the 5:03 mark on the power play to give the Phantoms the lead. Philly took the lead to intermission after 40 minutes.
Philadelphia would add two goals to cruise to the victory. Ryan Ready scored on an odd-man rush at the 14:16 mark of the third period before Ben Eager would score the empty net goal at 19:08 to seal the win.
The BEARS host the Providence Bruins Saturday and Sunday at GIANT Center. Faceoff is at 7:00 p.m. Saturday and 5:00 p.m. Sunday.
