The BEARS open up a three game weekend tonight as they travel the Turnpike to south Philly to take on the Phantoms. The game precedes a two-game series at GIANT Center this weekend against the Providence Bruins.
Defenseman Jamie Rivers, who signed a player tryout contract with HERSHEY on Wednesday, is expected to make his BEARS debut tonight at the Wachovia Spectrum. Rivers has 390 games of NHL experience, and played 50 games for the Detroit Red Wings last season.
Tonight's game can be heard on 1460-AM and 1390-AM beginning at 6:45 p.m. John Walton has the call from Broad Street this evening as the BEARS look to win the club's second straight game, and third in the last four.
