
Bears Recall Forward Austin Fyten from South Carolina

HERSHEY, Pa. -The Hershey Bears announced today that forward Austin Fyten has been recalledfrom the ECHL's South Carolina Stingrays. The announcement was made by Bears president/generalmanager Doug Yingst.
Fyten, 24, has dressed in allsix of the Stingrays' games this season, and has produced three points (onegoal, two assists). He also rankssecond on the team in shots on goal (17).
Fyten is coming off of hisfirst full year in the AHL, dressing in 64 games with theLehigh Valley Phantoms in 2014-15. He produced 11 points (two goals, nine assists) along with 85 penaltyminutes.
The 6-1, 190-pound native ofSundre, Alberta split the 2013-14 season with the AHL's Oklahoma City Baronsand the ECHL's Idaho Steelheads. He notched 20 points (seven goals, 13 assists) with the Barons in 47regular-season games. He has atotal of 33 points (nine goals, 24 assists) in 122 career AHL games with Texas,Oklahoma City and Lehigh Valley. In the ECHL, Fyten has recorded 59 points (24 goals, 35 assists) in 67games with Idaho and South Carolina.
Prior to turning pro, Fytenplayed junior hockey with the WHL's Lethbridge Hurricanes and Vancouver Giants,posting 122 points (55 goals, 67 assists) in 194 career games.
The Bears facethe Syracuse Crunch tonight, with faceoff from the War Memorial Arena at 7:00 PM.
