Allentown, PA - Rookie Michael McCarron fired the winner at 8:49 of the third period to lift the St. John's IceCaps to a 3-2 win over the Lehigh Valley Phantoms Friday at the PPL Center in Allentown, PA.
Sven Andrighetto and Charles Hudon also scored for the IceCaps, while Bud Holloway chalked up a pair of assists to move into second place in the AHL scoring race. Freshman netminder Zach Fucale kicked out 23 shots to improve his win-loss record to 4-0.
