IceHogs Clash with Wild in Halloween Contest
October 30, 2015 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Rockford IceHogs News Release
Rockford, Il. - The Rockford IceHogs (4-3-0-1) and Iowa Wild (2-4-1-1) will face off tonight at 7 p.m. at the BMO Harris Bank Center for the second time in 10 days. Rockford emerged victorious in their first meeting with Iowa on October 21, earning a 3-2 victory courtesy of goals from Brandon Mashinter and Tanner Kero (2). The matchup will be a home-and-home, as the IceHogs travel to Iowa for another game on Sunday.
Fans can buy tickets online at www.IceHogs.com, over the phone at (815) 968-5222, at the BMO Harris Bank Center box office, or at any Ticketmaster Outlet including Walmart locations. Friday's contest will also be broadcast live locally on WIFR's Justice Network on 23.3, or online at AHLLive.com. Television coverage kicks off at 6:30 p.m. with the IceHogs Warm Up pre-game show. A free audio feed is available via WXRX.com. For instant updates throughout the game, follow the IceHogs on Twitter (@goicehogs).
Halloween is taking over the arena! Fans are encouraged to wear their costumes to the game. The team will host a Trick-or-Treat event after the game, where players will give out candy to fans out on the BMO Harris Bank Center ice. The first 500 kids (14 and under) will receive a trick-or-treat bag and toothbrush compliments of Dr. Zak's Tooth Fairy Castle.
The IceHogs swept their division rival Chicago Wolves and Milwaukee Admirals last weekend before dropping a shootout to the Charlotte Checkers on Tuesday. After Tanner Kero's call up to the Chicago Blackhawks, the IceHogs will look to their all-time leading goal scorer in Jeremy Morin and current assists leader Marko Dano for offense.
Last season, the IceHogs went 6-2-0-0 against the Wild, only dropping one of their four home games to their divisional opponent. Rockford holds a 13-5-0-1 all-time record versus Iowa after winning the first meeting of the season.
Next Home Game: Saturday, Nov. 7 vs. Milwaukee. Game time: 7 p.m. Rockford faces its division rival at home before playing their next four games on the road. The IceHogs will celebrate Military Appreciation Night at the BMO Harris Bank Center. The first 1,500 fans into the arena will receive bomber hats courtesy of Pepsi.
