Beach Bums Return Home for Six Games Starting Tuesday

TRAVERSE CITY, MI - Fans will have an excellent chance to get a look at their 2013 Traverse City Beach Bums this upcoming week as the Beach Bums will play six games at Wuerfel Park, starting on Tuesday, June 4.
The first series will see the Lake Erie Crushers invade Wuerfel Park Tuesday through Thursday, June 4-6. All three games start at 7:05 pm. Tuesday against the Crushers is a Two-For-Tuesday where fans get a buy one, get one free special on all chairback tickets. Wednesday against Lake Erie is Weenie Wednesday with $1 hot dogs all night long.
The Lake Erie Series wraps up on Thursday where it is Cherryland Electric Night and a Thirsty Thursday. Fans will receive $1 off their Faygo bottled pop, Northwoods Soda fountain drinks, and beer throughout the evening.
The Frontier Greys make their first trip to Wuerfel Park over the weekend, June 7-9. Friday is a FANtastic Fireworks Friday beginning at 7:05 pm where, following the contest, the Beach Bums will light up the Northern Michigan skies with the best display of pulchritudinous pyrotechnics in the Frontier League.
Saturday is a Salute to Soldier Saturday, sponsored by Cherry Wings Realty, Exit Realty, and Linn Energy, LLC. Veterans and active duty members of the military who show their ID at the ticket window will receive half off the price of their chairback ticket on Saturday and every night of the year (non-special event dates). The Beach Bums will be wearing special Digital Camo jerseys for the game that will be auctioned off during the final Saturday home game of the season. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 pm.
The homestand wraps up on Sunday with a 5:05 pm first pitch for Family FUNday Sunday and Little League Night sponsored by Central United Methodist Church and The French Manor Senior Living. Kids ages 12 and under will get their chairback ticket for half price with the purchase of an adult chairback seat. There will be a full-team autograph session following the game and kids ages 5-12 can run the bases following the contest. The first 500 fans in the autograph line will receive a Beach Bums team poster!
