TRAVERSE CITY, Mich.-The Traverse City Beach Bums have caught World Cup fever!
As a way of celebrating the world's most famous sporting event, the Beach Bums are offering free admission to fans 14 and under wearing their youth soccer jerseys with the purchase of an adult chairback seat on Monday through Thursday games in June.
"With the popularity of soccer, over 4,000 kids in T-Bays up here, we want to show the soccer community that we support them by giving this opportunity to the kids," said Beach Bums CEO, John Wuerfel. "Not only that, we support the United States in every sport. We want to show our support for these great athletes who are representing our country in the World Cup."
The Beach Bums still have 11 home games remaining in June. Traverse City will play Windy City June 15-16, Lake Erie June 17-19 and June 23-25 and have in-state rival Kalamazoo June 26-28.
"We hope that when June wraps up and we play that last game of the month against Kalamazoo, we're still reporting the USA scoring updates," Wuerfel said.

Any fan who wears an item that says "Beach Bums" on it will receive a couple for a free box of popcorn.
